Three generations of hoteliers!
A little history...
In 1954, Angelo Casali (Steve Casali's grandfather), a carpenter by trade, began building his hotel in Talloires. A year later, with his wife Yvonne, he opened ‘Les Grillons’, a 2-star hotel with 10 rooms and a 60-seat restaurant. Every year, he extended the building a little further, adding beams, making new furniture for the rooms, planting more trees...
The hotel, which became a 3-star establishment in 1995, has evolved over the years to offer even greater comfort, with additional and more spacious rooms, a new restaurant, swimming pool and jacuzzi.
In 2007, Aurélie, their granddaughter, and her husband Sébastien, head chef, took over the hotel for 15 years, modernising and developing the establishment while perpetuating the tradition of a warm, family welcome.
In 2023, Aurélie's brother, Angèlo Casali's grandson, Steve, head chef, and his partner Laurie, receptionist, took over the hotel, remodelling and developing it in keeping with traditional family values.
