Our History

Three generations of hoteliers!

A little bit of history…

In 1954, Angelo Casali (Steve Casali’s grandfather), a carpenter by trade, began building his hotel in Talloires. A year later, he opened with his wife Yvonne “Les Grillons”, a 2-star hotel with 10 rooms and a 60-seat restaurant. Each year, he expanded a little more, added beams, crafted new furniture for the rooms, planted more trees…

The hotel, upgraded to 3 stars in 1995, has evolved over the years to offer ever greater comfort: additional and more spacious rooms, a new restaurant dining room, swimming pool and jacuzzi.

In 2007, their granddaughter Aurélie and her husband Sébastien, a chef, took over the hotel for 15 years, modernizing and developing the establishment while carrying on the tradition of a warm, family welcome.

 

In 2023, Steve, Aurélie’s brother and Angelo Casali’s grandson, a chef, took over the establishment, further modernizing and developing it while upholding the family values.
